Posted under Hidden Places & Cafes

If you want to drink really good coffee in Budapest pop in Cafe Alibi in downtown. They not only serve top-quality coffee drinks but the interior exudes a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to sip your coffee and contemplate busy Budapest street life for at least an hour.

No wonder Cafe Alibi won the Comeptition of Hungarian Coffee Houses in 2005 organised by a Hungarian website about cafes and cafe culture.
Besides the usual coffee drinks (espresso-290 HUF), cappuccino-390-HU, caffe latte- 450 HUF) they offer a range of teas, soft drinks and even milkshakes.

Between 8.00-12.00 you can have a substantial breakfast (menus are between 690-1190 HUF).

For lunch you can choose from grilled sandwiches (1000-1100 HUF), salads, and grilled meat and vegetarian dishes (1300-1600 HUF). Cafe Alibi’s dessert selection is tempting too. They have a very good website with pages in English which is a rarity among small businesses operating in Hungary.
